How real does it feel?

The documentary process is underway! Our group has named our topic but we're still looking for a catchy tag and title. Our topic is going to focus on the soccer fan in America and the growing popularity of the sport in America. We feel that it will fun and enjoyable, as well as informative and cool. We've just made an outline of sorts for the work that we have to do and the deadlines that we must meet. As a group we are struggling with our pitch a bit. Like I said, we're not really sure what we want our tag to be but we hope that our topic is accepted because we are very passionate about soccer and wewant the American fans story to be told.

The reading this week was again very informative and adressed the problems that I'm afraid my group will face. A.O. Scott talks about documentaries being difficult to understand and very confusing. I'm afraid that our audience will not like our topic. We are very passionate about soccer and our fandom but it will be difficult to illustrate that passion through our piece. I feel that if we can do this well, we can have a very affective, entertaining and fun documentary.
